How does an Air Scrubber work?

How your air scrubber works depends on the type of air scrubber you purchase. Most air scrubbers use ions or ozone, but some use UV light or a filter and a fan. Some air scrubbers can be bought as individual devices, while others can be installed as an add-on with your HVAC system (Our recommended method). Some air scrubbers use a technique called Wet Scrubbing, in which air passes through a wet cloth or liquid chamber with special solutions that catch particles and residue. Other air scrubbers use a technique called Dry Scrubbing, which generally involves some type of ionic purifier and is mainly used in commercial environments. HEPA filters are another common method used to clean air. HEPA filters are engineered mats with arranged fiberglass or metal fibers that clean air inside of your HVAC system. They are widely recognized as an industry standard and approved by the US Department of Energy.
